As a wrap-up to the Civic Education School project, on 15th of March, we invited our participants to join us and support their peers who presented results of the follow-up projects to partners from the Embassy of the United States of America.
Anida Bosović, Monika Mitrić, Lejla Srdanović, Lorena Ujkić and Nejra Polovina presented their initiatives, which you had the opportunity to see in our previous posts, who, together with their teams, included almost 320 young people from Montenegro.

President Ivan Vuksanovic also addressed the role of MAYAA organisation, presenting the results of the School of Civic Education project and thanking the participants and partners for their cooperation.

That the whole process was a huge experience both in the implementation of projects and in raising awareness of topics that are close to our participants, was confirmed by all participants who presented the challenges they faced, but also the lessons learned. Our enthusiasm was shared by Nicole Gallagher, Head of the Media and Culture Department at the US Embassy in Podgorica, and Jelena Vojnić, Representative of the Media and Culture Department in Podgorica, who supported the entire Civic Education process.

It is of great importance that young people understand their role in society, and we are glad that the participants of the School took the initiative and thus showed real leadership skills. Carrying out activities in a pandemic era can be challenging, but these are just examples of how the will and the right people are enough to do what we believe in.
This is just another program by which MAYAA strives to raise awareness of social responsibility and civic education, and we hope that our organization will continue to be an incubator of great ideas and people who are ready to make their communities a better place.
The Civic Education School project is funded by the U.S. Embassy Podgorica
